Image Selected for “Moments of Color” Show

Sunrise Maligne Lake, AlbertaI’m happy to report that one of my images has been selected for Blank Wall Gallery’s “Moments of Color” show.  The show has just opened in Athens, Greece and runs until May 11, 2017.  The image they selected is from Maligne Lake in Alberta, Canada and was made on a cold, windy October morning as I waited out the sunrise on the lake’s shore. The reward was splashes of red painted on the sky and reflected in the lake.

Here is the information about the show from Blank Wall Gallery:  “Colors can be found everywhere around us. They make our life more interesting and happier. We can always relate our mood with a color and a color can definitely change the way we feel. This is a truth that no one can deny or question. As a result, colors consist a source of inspiration for photographers. Sometimes it is the color itself that makes a scene worth shot, or a photograph worth seeing. It is the color that may make the difference after all.”

I couldn’t attend the gallery opening but one of these days I’ll get a photograph in this gallery and will somehow get to Greece to see it. There are over 75 international artists represented in the show and their work is amazing; I’d love to see these images in person.  There is no better place than the islands of Greece for photographing and generally enjoying life. Opah!
